QUALIFICATIONS: Greg is a professional educator, an in-demand multi-instrumentalist, an experienced composer and arranger, and a sound recording engineer with a strong emphasis on music technology. Originally a woodwind doubler and pianist, he has expanded into brass and percussion techniques and is confident on every band instrument. Teaching music is the central focus of his life, and he believes that all people can and should experience the joy of music. ______________________________________________________________ PHILOSOPHIES OF MUSIC EDUCATION: All people can and should learn music, and should be strongly encouraged to explore and expand the breadth and depth of their musical talents during all levels of their development. Music is a noble pursuit, and though it complements and strengthens so many other aspects of thought and experience, it is indeed a valuable end in itself, worthy of study for it’s own sake. Created "Be a Better Musician Through Transposition", an effective and fun course of study to enhance musicianship, complete with workbooks. Presented a workshop featuring the "Use the Blues as You Choose" curriculum at Carnegie Mellon University for the PMEA’s District 1 membership in December 2005. Presented the "Use the Blues as You Choose" curriculum to the PMEA’s State Convention in Valley Forge PA in March 2006. Director of the
