Be a Better Musician Through Transposition is a highly effective and fun way to enhance your musicianship.  This course is currently in use at several schools, including Seton Hill University.

12 Keys Of Ease
It has been said that a good musician has no bad keys. Similarly, some believe that you cannot truly say that you know a tune unless you can play it in at least three keys. One of the main objectives of this book is to empower musicians to be able to greet each key as if it were an old friend, fitting comfortably and easily into the hands, with no unexpected notes or surprising intervals.

Many Melodies
One of the most important aspects of any music is a good melody, and this book features a collection of melodies from a wide variety of sources. Any good musician has a broad landscape of melodies in their subconscious from which to draw, and so another objective of this workbook is to provide a rich diet of quality melodic material for musicians to incorporate into their experience. Lyrics are included whenever possible to provide a strong lingual hook upon which to hang those melodies.

Subtle Structures
Melodies are built from scales hung on their underlying arpeggios. Just a few underlying arpeggios form the structures of many, many songs, and so the internalization of those few arpeggio structures forms a basis from which to approach all of the rest of music. Another vital yet quite subtle objective of this workbook is to build in the musician, through repetitive and broadening layers of experience, a set of arpeggio structures in each key. Hanging ghost-like behind all melodies, these structures will provide for the musician a platform from which to view all music.

After internalizing the experiences in this workbook, the musician will:
*Have a high level of ease and comfort in many keys
*Possess a wealth of internalized melodic material
*Clearly perceive the hidden structures which lay behind all melodies
